SAP Data & AI
In the SAP ecosystem since 2015, on SAC Planning assignments since 2022, Julien Bédouret also develops AI, and codes it himself. He brings both to SAP projects that want to put AI on their data.
Available for a full-time assignment from early January 2027. Interviews from November.
Assignments
SAP assignments, time and materials, in blocks of 4 to 6 months. Julien works autonomously from specification to CDS Views, with financial controllers and Product Owners.

The format

The “Joule on your SAP data” package
In 10 to 15 days, get Joule ready to answer on your SAP data, measure how often it answers correctly, then extend it where the standard stops, before committing a project budget.
In three steps
- Prepare: clean SAP Analytics Cloud models and data, indexed for Just Ask, Joule's natural-language questions in SAP Analytics Cloud, and the prerequisites checked (SAP BTP environment, SAP's cloud platform, and identity management). Joule answers no better than the models it is given.
- Measure: 30 real business questions put to Joule. The result is given as a number of correct answers, with its interval.
- Extend, where the standard stops: a skill (a capability added to Joule) or an agent in Joule Studio, whose actions a person approves, depending on their availability on your system at the time of scoping; or a RAG assistant (retrieval-augmented generation: it searches your documents, then answers from what it found) with the generative AI hub, SAP AI Core's generative AI service. Plus the SAP Analytics Cloud forecast, compared with your current method.
What you get
- The list of prerequisites and the state of your models
- Joule's measured result, with its number of cases
- An extension prototype running on your data, where relevant
- A clear opinion and a dated next step, or the advice not to go further
According to SAP (October 2026), Joule Base, the base version of Joule, is included in eligible SAP cloud subscriptions; agents are paid by usage, in AI Units, SAP's AI consumption units. What your contract covers is checked during scoping. Scope and price of the package are set after the first conversation, before any work starts.
The method
Measure before, and after
Every scoping starts with a measurement of time, volume or error. Without it, there is no result to compare.
A figure with its number of cases
A result is given as a number of cases, for example “9 correct answers out of 12”. From 30 cases, the percentage comes with its confidence interval (Wilson).
A person signs off
What commits the company (a published figure, a decision, a document) is approved by a person. An information assistant that answers the public on its own only gives information from its knowledge base, and says it is an AI.
A named host
Every tool has a named host, and you know it before any work starts. Legal questions are listed for your lawyer or your data protection officer (DPO).
